Stay tuned for the rest of the story! It won’t take long, I promise. So, we left off with Monday and onto Tuesday now – this day was mostly spent going around town and queueing for theatre tickets.

The show we chose for that day was Chicago, and thankfully there were plenty of seats available from TKTS. Now, I don’t recall any exact details as to what we did – probably zoomed around on the subway a lot, going to different places. Heck, I’ll just recount the rest of the sights we saw and things we did after the theatre bits. Chicago was great, and we’d had plans to go see another show as well – this time an off-Broadway one by name of Avenue Q, which we did see on Wednesday. We loved both shows, very different from each other, with Chicago being more familiar since we’d both seen the movie. Avenue Q was made of hilarious.

Now, the other stuff we did has sort of blurred into a big haze and I’m having trouble recalling exactly what we did on which days. I got a haircut for $15 at a barbershop on W 21st Street – we shopped a little and I bought some shirts from Banana Republic – we went to Central Park and to the UN – the list of stuff goes on and on. Of course, on the last night, after dinner at an Italian place in Hell’s Kitchen, girl and I went up to 30 Rock’s observation platform. Very windy, it was. Also a little cold. And the tower swayed a little in the wind. But the view was gorgeous – I would recommend to anyone that they rather go up to Rockefeller Center than the Empire State Building – reason being you can’t see the ESB from its observation deck.

The day of the flight out went by pretty quickly, first taking a cab to Penn Station and just drifting around Herald Square. Of course, Macy’s is there so we had to take a look around. It was fancy, I’ll give you that, something between Finland’s Stockmann and London’s Harrods stores. After plooping around there for a while, we went and ate at a Korean place on Korean Way (the bibimbap was very good), and headed to our train to Newark Airport. Flights delayed in both EWR and AMS, by a total of two hours all together, and yet we still arrived in Helsinki only 30 minutes late. Safe and sound back home, ready to sleepily trod on into courses again.

I apologize for taking so long to write this final travelogue – returning and going straight off back to school ended up taking a lot of my attention.
