I am planning on upgrading my rig this spring, once manufacturers get fixed Intel P67 motherboards shipped and onto stores. The current tentative plan is roughly as follows:
– ASRock P67 Extreme4 (~150€)
– Intel Core i5 2500 (~220€)
– 3x2GB Kingston 1333Mhz (~80€)
– Coolermaster RS650-ACAAE3-EU 650W Power (~85€)
– Fractal Design Define R3 Titanium housing (~100€)
ASRock have not announced delivery schedules for Finland yet, but Asus have, at least tentatively, so I can assume the same-ish for other manufacturers as well.
I am a little bit on the fence about the processor (K version or not) and memory (6 or 8 Gb), and I am willing to also get another motherboard, as long as it has a digital coaxial S/PDIF output – so far, the contenders are ASRock and Gigabyte. My DSP’s only optical spidif is taken by my 360.
